GALA PRIZEGIVING - as per diary, the gala prizegiving will be held in the Clubhouse at 5:00pm this Sunday, 15th October.
The annual Hole in the Wall Trophy challenge v Stackstown GC was once again a resounding success in almost every way. The weather was amazing, the golf scores were excellent, the two courses were in great condition and everyone was in good form. The prize-giving was a well-attended affair in KGC where Stackstown and KGC members got a chance to mingle over a glass of wine. The only downside for us was that even though KGC managed to produce some great scores the Hole in the Wall Trophy was won by Stackstown who scored an 7 extra points. Jim Nix said he is determined that we will get the trophy back next year! Well done to Jim Nix and Emily McCarthy, who managed a successful Hole in the Wall Competition.
A giant "thank you" to everyone who gave so generously for the Hospice Coffee Day. A fantastic result, €1,545.
Well done to you all - those who played, bought tickets, donated raffle prizes, baked and finally those who cleared away afterwards. Your help for those in need is very much appreciated.
Regards, Dodie.
A great day was had at Woodbrook Golf Club for Captain Tom's away day. Despite some wind and few showers the winners brought home great score.
