The Bank Holiday Monday Champagne Scramble was a wonderful success.  A full timesheet of 52 members and guests created a great atmosphere.   The Halloween theme added to the fun and the clubhouse looked suitably scary thanks to Vice Captain Deirdra Healy and Vivian O’Rourke.

Some brave members rose to the challenge of the fancy dress theme and we had clowns, zombies, pirates, bears, rugby players, prisoners and even Pavarotti in our midst.  There was fierce competition but Pavarotti won the best dressed prize and members spontaneously joined him in a serenade of Nessun Dorma as he accepted his prize.

The weather was unseasonably good and the golf scores fantastic.  The winners were:-

1st         Jim Nix, Susan Maher, Brendan Young, John Dunne               (99 points)

2nd        Paul Williams, Ian Williams, Moya Williams, Ross Williams       (97 points)

3rd          PJ Barry, Paul Whelan, Jim Berry, Pat Brennan                        (95 points)

Thank you to everyone who joined us today for our first official engagement .   We look forward to many more fun events with Kilmashogue members during the year.  See more (scary) pictures on Facebook.
